Monthly update, January 2020

January 2020 will be my first portfolio update in what will hopefully become a regular feature for years to come.

I will not be detailing the ups and downs in all share-prices, and whether or not I have “earned” anything through capital appreciation, as that is mostly irrelevant so long as I’m not buying new stocks. I might comment whenever I explain or comment on the details on individual stocks.

During January, I have bought one new Stock, Caterpillar Inc. (CAT) It has been hammered completely after I bought it, so I might actually want to build the position up in the near future. So long as it stays down for a bit or even goes further down. But that will depend on the situation whenever I have more capital to deploy.

I have received just over 60 NOK in dividends, which is just over 6-7 dollars. Pepsico (PEP), Franklin Resources (BEN), Realty Income (O) and True North reit (TNT.UN) paid me in January.

In February, I expect a little more, as Caterpillar (CAT), AT&T (T) and the two previously mentioned REITS will pay.

It’s always fun to turn a new leaf, plan which stock I will buy this month and see what the dividends will amount to.
