Ok, so this is a bit silly this early in my investing career, but inspired by articles like this: https://www.fool.com/investing/2017/04/21/warren-buffett-is-earning-6731-in-dividend-income.aspx I got to thinking. What does my meagre monthly dividend income net me every hour? Or minute? Well, here’s the answer thus far.
Per minute | 0,002 kr | $0,0002 |
Per hour | 0,118 kr | $0,0130 |
Per day | 2,831 kr | $0,3129 |
Per week | 19,819 kr | $2,1906 |
Per month | 86,120 kr | $9,5188 |
Per year | 1 033,444 kr | $114,2262 |
I’m going to keep tracking this every time I add a new position to my portfolio and every time my companies increase their dividends. So my first, relatively easily attainable goal, would be 100 NOK per month. I’m guessing that’s not very far off. Then I’d like to triple that. And for a long-term goal, perhaps I’d like to have 1 NOK per minute. But my portfolio would have to grow to a size that feels astronomical right now.
I’m going to keep track of this and perhaps provide an update from time to time.
